Tasha is one of the founders of Samara Capital. The key driver of starting Samara was personal relationships and feeling confident that she was delivering the best service and investment guidance to clients.
As Managing Director, Tasha is responsible for planning and tactical implementation of strategies. She is in charge of building lasting client relationships, investment research, as well as creating and managing long-term investment portfolios.
Tasha is deeply rooted in the financial services industry and got her start in 2006. Prior to starting Samara, Tasha was vice president and senior financial advisor at Union Bank working with high net worth clients. Prior to Union Bank, she spent time as a financial advisor at Key Bank and Merrill Lynch.
Tasha holds a bachelor’s degree from Portland State University and an MBA in Finance from University of Portland. She currently holds series 7, 66, and life insurance licenses. She has been in the financial services industry since 2006.
Mike specializes in building and maintaining long-term investment portfolios. As co-founder and senior portfolio manager at Samara Capital, he puts his considerable experience and vast knowledge to work for his clients.
Mike has been a portfolio manager for individuals and institutions since 1987, when he learned a hands-on approach to stock-picking during the period when no-load mutual funds were in their early development. Mike earned his degree from Portland State University and also holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation which he achieved in 1993.
Megan spent seven years at Common Sense Investment Management where she was responsible for a variety of client services. She worked directly with three of the managing partners and assisted them with daily operational requests and investor reports, while also acting as a liaison between marketing and research to facilitate large requests for information and/or RFPs from the institutional consultants and their investors.
Megan holds certifications in both Human Resources Management and Project Management.
Paul was previously Director of Technology for a multi-million dollar wealth management firm where he managed the information technology infrastructure and support for multiple offices across the United States. Prior to that, he served as network administrator of a multi-billion dollar registered investment advisor that managed long-short equity funds of hedge funds.
Cammie joined the company as an Operation Specialist in June 2016. In this role, Cammie coordinates and facilitates the delivery and ongoing support of products and services to member firms. She brings over 10 years of financial services industry experience to this role.
Cammie previously worked in operations at M Financial Group located in Portland, OR. In this position she focused on high net worth private client operations. Cammie has also held positions managing client operations with Alliance Bernstein and Cohen Financial in San Francisco, CA.
Miles graduated from the University of Oregon with a B.S. in Finance. Prior to joining the team, Miles worked at Portland Private Wealth Management for 3 years as an analyst and advisor.
